Berries

Note: English names given are for OOC reference and all the info given here holds true to her world only and is info Eva would readily share if asked. She's also working on a book about berries for the library, that'll be linked when it's done.

------
Don't ask me how they can grow from a full fruit planted in the ground in days, while seeds take months. Once harvested, the fruit grows back in as many days as it would take to grow from a planted fruit.

All pokemon eat berry-fruits, even obligate carnivores. Some of them will cure pokemon of various ailments caused by Attacks, though they will not cure humans, supporting the idea that berries evolved for pokemon. Any benefits humans get are incidental, and usually require work to get.

Outside of that, they have a lot of uses, from producing dyes to uses in cooking (if you ever get the chance, try nanab tart or spaghetti with berry medley sauce), to making all kinds of drinks. Any good juicer should be able to make them into juice.

Caring for them is easy; water and weed and nothing else; once fully grown, they should keep making fruit for anywhere from a year or five to, I've heard, one hundred years if the plants are cared for. The firmness is basically how gentle one should be when handling the berry-fruit itself. Also, I don't think they should be grown outside of a greenhouse here? I don't know what effects they'd have on the native creatures of any world and I'm not that keen to find out.

The following is a copy of the list here, but includes the stuff in her Berry Pots, too.
